Citi issues statements for both sides of its business - bank accounts and credit cards - and they are not the same document. This page handles both, but it is honest about the difference: only one of them gives a converter something to check its own work against.

What a Citibank statement looks like inside
An account statement prints a balance after each line, so every row can be tested against the next. A card statement does not, and the page marks the difference on screen rather than leaving you to guess which kind of result you are looking at.
- Older statements convert exactly like current ones. The converter reads the file in front of it, not the date it was issued.
- Some statements arrive password protected by email. Remove the password in your PDF viewer first; the page says plainly when it hits one instead of blaming your file.
- Nothing is uploaded at any point, which matters for older statements that may still print a full account number in the header.
Citi is the one bank here where the same login hands you two genuinely different statement layouts, so the first thing worth checking after conversion is which case the page reported. The Barclays and NatWest pages deal with UK current accounts only, the American Express page with cards only.
Interest and fee lines are transactions and do become rows. Summary figures - credit limit, minimum payment, payment due date - are left out on purpose, because inventing rows for them would corrupt the total.
My statement covers two cards on one document. What happens?
Every line that starts with a date and carries an amount becomes a row, whichever section of the document it sits in, so a combined statement comes out as one list rather than two. If you need them apart, the card number usually appears in the section heading, and sorting by description after conversion is the quickest way to split them.
